Strength Training: Planning the Training Block – Part 1
By Mladen Jovanovic on 26/12/2017It should be clear by now that for planning of the strength training cycle, we are using 1RMs as something that helps us with prescription, and not something to argue about until cows come home.

Physical Preparation for Team Sports: Functional Groups
By Mladen Jovanovic on 17/09/2017Without being able to come up with more appropriate name, functional groups relate to the current training status of the athlete (i.e. away, national team, injured, available, etc) and whether they played the previous match or are they going to play the next one. Undulating Mixed Strength Program
By Mladen Jovanovic on 20/08/2017This program represents “park bench” workout (see works by Dan John) and it is quite usable for someone putting the same emphasis on each exercise, while hitting wide rep ranges and avoiding boredom at the same time. Therefore, it is very usable for off-season “sporadic” workouts (someone who hits the gym 2-4 times per week in haphazard manner).
