In this video, I will be refreshing your elementary statistical knowledge regarding the type of scales used in data analysis. These involve the following:

In this module we are going to cover the following topics:

  • Nominal
  • Ordinal
  • Interval
  • Ratio

In sports science, we tend to see interval/ratio scale the most, but we also represent ordinal scales (i.e. Liker scale from 0 to 10) as ratio. This is because the analysis of the interval and ratio scales is “easier”, although in some cases not valid.
