Vertical Planning – Part 2
If you remember from the previous module:
Progression tables represent implemented adjustments in a systematic and organized manner across progression steps and scheme volume types (intensive, normal, and extensive).
So what progression table is to the adjustments method, vertical planning is to the progression table – a systematic approach to walk over progression table.
In this video, I explain this systematic and modular approach to designing the set and reps schemes by utilizing vertical planning as an additional layer over the progression table. I am also discussing my archetypal vertical planning approaches:
- Constant
- Linear
- Reverse Linear
- Block
- Block Variant
- Rep Accumulation
- Set Accumulation
- Undulating
- Reverse Undulating
- Volume-Intensity
In addition to this, I am presenting a novel concept that I have named The Vertical Planning Matrix (see the accompanying PDF below)
