HI, could you please advise me on the following.
I have two 17yr old (predominately) endomorphic players. Both are exceptionally skillful, however their body mass issues, poor conditioning and poor reactive strength is restricting them from reaching their potential. I have 20 weeks to produce results, in what I perceive will secure me a contract with a club.I am inexperienced in applying any theory I know, which is: doing 3 x strength circuit workouts (20 x stations), per week over the off season, with emphasis on compound exercises (60% rpm)+ farmers walks, KB swings. Is skipping ideal for reactive strength? In theory I know MB, BW jumps + band resisted, small box quick feet should be prescribed? In between strength days are aerobic base building blocks of X training and running. Diet is another issue which i need advice.

    Kind regards
    Anthony

    Hi Anthony,

I would stick with a basic strength training (no circuits) and make them eat better. Get them stronger and go from there. Basic 2-3 workouts a week will do it, making sure they are not trashed for soccer sessions, so start easy.
