    Mladen,

Obviously you have a good understanding of the statistical/analysis part of our profession. That being said, would you be willing to put out a list of resources that you used to help develop yourself and the steps you took to grow this expertise?

    Thanks!

    Hi Bryan,

By no means I am an expert 🙂 I have made list of book in HERE: https://complementarytraining.net/what-do-you-need-to-know-as-a-sport-scientist-besides-sport-science/

I will also publish a list of free courses – currently watching Model Thinking on Coursera and it is fantastic.

When it comes to stats – honestly – there is no single book that explains in ‘coach/everyday language’, I had to read a bunch of books to pick up underlying logic and purpose. Currently reading on Machine Learning: Data Science in business, Data Smart books and Introduction to Statistical Learning.

One day I might write some VERY simple book on stats for coaches 🙂

Thank you for the response, Mladen. That “simple” book would be fantastic. 🙂

As you mentioned, I think first committing to grasping the logic/language behind stats is a great place to start.

Maybe you can check Harvey Matulsky Intuitive Biostatistics. Seems like a good read
