Lesson 11: Deadlift Best Practices

In the last video of the Mesocycles Course, Mike Tuchscherer shares his deadlift best practices. He follows the same structure as with the bench press and squat best practices and outlines exercise selection, assessing weak ROM and muscle groups, volume, intensity, frequency, and RPE considerations.

In RST, similar to the squat, deadlift gets 3 planning slots (see figures)

Mike continues with discussing weak ROM and weak muscles issues in selecting the assistance exercises (see figures)

When it comes to intensity, deadlift needs/affords lower than the squat. Volume is similar or less than squat.

Please check the video for further discussion on the best practices for improving deadlift.

With this video, the Mesocycles course is finished. Thank you for watching all the video and please be free to share your thoughts and questions on the forum.
