Module 4: RTS Toolkit

Rate-of-perceived-effort (RPE) is a metric that is commonly used in endurance training and research, and Mike Tuchscherer is the first and probably the only coach who created a sound application of it to strength training.

In this module, Mike will explain to you the basis of his Reactive Training System using RPE, mainly how RPE helps in selecting the right weight and performing the correct number of reps.

    Hy Mike,

    Nice Presentation!

    I have two main questions.
1.) Related to fatigue and monitoring.
Do you distinguish between neuronal fatigue (the whole body feels empty) and the “DOMS” in terms of performance?

2.) Regarding involuntary or even voluntary breaks of the clients (you have no motivation or professionally forced breaks).
How do you start the training again and reintegrate them into the training process?

    Greeting
    Chris
